Booking Terms & Conditions Pre/Postcare

We strive to provide all of clients with the best possible results from your treatment. There are many factors involved that contribute to the success of eyebrow microblading and permanent makeup and unfortunately, not all clients are good candidates. Please read all of the conditions below, to ensure you fully understand whether you are an ideal or NOT an ideal candidate for this procedure.

Your skin must be healthy, strong, intact and non-irritated to achieve the best results. Clients who present with compromised skin or medical conditions (see below) are NOT good candidates for eyebrow microblading or permanent makeup. If you have any of the below conditions, you will NOT retain colour well and will NOT be a good candidate for any permanent makeup procedure.

POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS & WHAT TO EXPECT:

After care is critical for optimal results. It is very important to follow these instructions for the entire healing period to ensure proper healing and colour retention. Results will vary for all individuals and we cannot guarantee or determine your final results.

  • DO NOT expect perfect brows after your first session. This is a 2-step process and it takes time to heal. During the healing process, your brows will go through a number of changes. The entire healing process takes 4-6 weeks in total.

  • Immediately after the procedure, your brows will look dark and crisp and may even appear wet.

  • Dab brows with a tissue every 5-10 minutes for the first hour to absorb any lymph.

  • Swelling and redness immediately after permanent makeup procedure is completely normal and can be managed with soft gel ice packs

  • Gently rinse brows 5-6 hours post treatment with water to remove any excess pigment and blood. It is normal to see pigment in the sink when rinsing.

  • Gently wash eyebrows every day with a mild cleanser/soap (ie. Dove), DO NOT RUB!!!

  • Pat eyebrows dry with a towel

  • With a clean finger, apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment that has been provided,  to your brows for the first 7-10 days. You can also use a Q-tip, but we find that this can pull on the skin/scabs/flakes during the flaking process. If you have oily skin, you may be instructed to skip the aftercare ointment.

  • 3-4 days after you initial appointment, brows will darken and scabbing/flaking will occur - DO NOT FREAK OUT! This is completely normal!

  • DO NOT PICK!!! DO NOT PICK!!! Let all scabs//flakes fall off on their own. Picking will cause poor retention, patchiness and scarring

  • It is completely NORMAL for you to experience itchiness during the healing process, especially while brows scab/flake

  • If itchiness is unbearable, apply a little more aftercare ointment

  • if you experience a lot of scabbing/flaking, apply more aftercare ointment to moisten the scabs/flakes so that they do not pull pigment along with it as they fall off

  • DO NOT pick or peel any of the flakes and scabbing. This can cause loss of implanted pigment and irreversible scarring

  • Refrain from touching eyebrow area except when applying aftercare ointment

  • Once all scabs/flakes fall off, it is completely normal for brows to appear very light - DO NOT FREAK OUT!!!

  • For some people colour may not return until the 4 week mark - just BE PATIENT

  • The colour will build and become stronger as your skin continues to heal over the next 2-3 weeks

  • Refrain from using any strong soaps, cleansers, creams or makeup on brows for up to 7 day

  • Avoid direct contact to brows when showering. Use lukewarm water when showering and washing face

  • Avoid pools, Jacuzzis, saunas and sun for at least 7-10 days

  • DO NOT use any products containing Retin-A, AHA or any kind of skin peel

  • Use sunblock daily except for the first 4 day

  • The colour of the microbladed areas will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure, however will soften and fade 40% over the next 4-6 weeks. This is the final appearance before your touch-up is required

  • Microbladed hairstrokes tend to heal more solid and powdery for oily skin types, whereas normal to drier skin types heal much crisper and clean and defined. Sensitive skin types and those that bleed more will require more touch-ups (at an additional charge) as they do not retain colour well.

  • Touch-up appointment is recommended 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment.

  • It is your responsibility to schedule your touch-up appointment.

THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS! Results will vary dependent on skin type, lifestyle and the initial 7-10 day care and longterm care of your eyebrow tattoo. Everyone's results will be very individual and different from one another.

  • Use at least SPF 30 to protect your brows, sun exposure will cause fading and can alter the colour of your tattoo.

  • Do not use chemical exfoliants on the brows, this will cause the brows to fade faster.

  • Do not laser your brow area (IPL, Fraxel etc), some lasers may change the colour of the pigment.

  • As the tattoo fades the strokes will get fainter and less defined, this is normal and expected.

  • Maintenance is required to maintain desired results. Touch-ups are done on average every 9 - 24 months to maintain your eyebrow tattoo.

  • Hair stroke eyebrows typically last 1-3 years, less for oily and sensitive skin types.

  • For oily skin types & large pores, shading/ombre/powder brows are most highly recommended and will produce the best results as hair strokes will have a tendency to blur.
